Dickens World Donation to MYT
All the World Cup matches have been shown live on the large screen at Chatham Dockside. The Chatham Maritime Football Club organised the events which saw hundreds of people enjoying each game within a football fan atmosphere.
Medway Youth Trust was the chosen charity partner of a prize draw which had been operating throughout the world cup events. Shortly before the World Cup Final kicked off on Sunday evening, Chief Executive of MYT, Graham Clewes was presented with a cheque for £1898 from Kevin Christie, the Chief Executive of Dickens World.
Receiving the cheque in front of the world cup fans, Graham said “our relationships with businesses throughout Medway are growing stronger and stronger. We spend much of our time helping businesses with our free recruitment service and it is very pleasing to be the charity partner of Dickens World and the Chatham Maritime Football Club on this occasion. As a charity, we devote our money and time to helping young people improve their life chances and this donation is a great boost to us all”.
