Are you homeless, sofa surfing or threatened with homelessness?
The options available to you depend on your personal circumstances (including your age, your reason for being homeless and your health), so it is advisable to seek advice.
You can visit special housing advice drop-in sessions designed for young people:
- Monday and Thursday between 1pm – 4pm at Medway Youth Trust’s Connexions Centre, New Road, Chatham. Tel: 01634 33 43 43
This drop-in session will have people who are specialists in dealing with housing problems and who are there to give you advice, support or practical help with your housing situation.
What if I have a learning difficulty or disability?
Supported living describes living on your own or with others in a home away from your parents/carers. Supported living can mean that you have support workers with you 24 hours a day 7 days a week or just a few hours each day or week. You will need to contact the integrated team within Medway Council’s Social Care Department for an assessment of need http://www.medway.gov.uk/healthandsocialcare/adults/supportingpeople.aspx
