Health

What is good health?

Being in good health means something a little different to different people. You might hear people talking about how important it is to have a balanced diet eating lots of fruit and vegetables, and eating less fatty and fried food. You might also hear people talking about how important it is to take regular exercise, particularly exercise which raises your heartbeat (aerobic exercise).

In this section, we focus on the areas of health that young people talk to us about and are concerned about the most.

Hearing different things about topics such as drinking, smoking, drugs, having sex, STIs and pregnancy can be confusing. It can be hard to think about what you want and what risks and effects there might be on your life and those around you. That is exactly why we are here. At Medway Youth Trust, we have a team of qualified and experienced Connexions Personal Advisers who are here to help advise you, guide you and give information to you. All their advice and guidance is impartial…this means they always act in the best interest of you.
